Turn Generic Interview Questions Into Role-Specific Evidence
“Tell me about a challenge” is generic because the job description is specific. The strongest answer changes one detail at a time: the stake, the constraint, the decision, and the measured result.
Translate the prompt
Underline the responsibility in the job description that the question could be probing. Choose a story where that responsibility was difficult, not merely present. The story becomes role-specific when the interviewer can see the same pressure the role carries.
End with the operating lesson
Close with the rule you would bring to the next situation. A memorable rule turns a personal story into evidence that transfers.
